The DVBL Roots–liquid-ring system uses Roots vacuum pumps as the main and intermediate stages with a liquid-ring pump as the backing stage — sometimes with an additional atmospheric ejector. Compared with a single liquid-ring pump it delivers higher pumping speed and deeper vacuum.
Working Principle
It is especially suited to handling large volumes of wet, mixed gas at higher vacuum levels — in particular corrosive media or mixtures compatible with the sealing liquid. The sealing liquid condenses condensable vapours, boosting pumping speed and, with a condenser, eliminating condensable vapour carry-over.
Key Advantages
• High pumping speed at medium and high vacuum
•Strong tolerance of wet gas and condensable vapours
• Flexible 2-, 3- or 4-stage configuration
• Suitable for distillation, drying, evaporation and degassing
• Variable-frequency control, auto level control (make-up / drain)
• Working-liquid temperature / pressure / flow monitoring, line booster pump
• Downstream condenser & recovery unit
Product FAQs
1. Why choose a Roots–liquid ring vacuum system?
It provides higher pumping speed and deeper vacuum than a single liquid ring pump. It is ideal for large gas loads, wet gases and condensable vapours.
2. What vacuum level can the system achieve?
A two-stage system can reach about 400 Pa, a three-stage system about 25 Pa, and a multi-stage configuration can reach below 1 Pa under suitable conditions.
3. Can it handle corrosive gases and condensable vapours?
Yes. The liquid ring backing pump handles wet and condensable gases effectively. Corrosion-resistant materials, coatings, condensers and filters are available for corrosive applications.
4. How is the correct system selected?
Selection depends on the working vacuum, pumping capacity, gas composition, vapour load and operating conditions. We can configure the appropriate pump stages, motor power and control system.
